Ah, setting up a new office! What could possibly go wrong, right? The plan was simple: make a list, grab what we need, load it up, and voilà! But as it turns out, even the ladies at GETTA® aren’t immune to a few unexpected… well, surprises. So here’s a peek into our legendary (and slightly chaotic) journey toward a fully furnished office – with a big emphasis on fully.
The Swedish Furniture Adventure: Misunderstandings and Mega-Packages
We started off strong. The whole day was mapped out: two cars fueled up, a carefully crafted list, and one mission: furnish the office. But once we got to IKEA, our focus started to fade (did you know they have an entire jungle of plants?), and our list became, well, more of a suggestion. Eventually, we dragged a massive package into the office. But as we started unpacking, it hit us… this wasn’t the mobile whiteboard we had wanted. Nope, it was a full-sized desk – in a color that completely clashed with our carefully chosen mood board.
The package was so heavy, it’s a miracle we even got it inside. Thankfully, we managed to return it (pro tip: triple-check those product numbers before you check out!).
The Monitor Delivery Drama: A Sea of Cardboard in the Office
In our quest for a sleek setup, we decided to order new monitors. No big deal, right? That was until the delivery arrived and stacked our office with boxes as if we were a team of ten. The monitors themselves were perfect – the packaging, however, was something else. We’re not exaggerating when we say our office was transformed into an ocean of cardboard, foam, and bubble wrap. After unpacking, there was so much leftover material that we seriously considered a second career in recycling.
So, if anyone ever needs some extra packing supplies, feel free to swing by – we still have plenty.
All’s Well That Ends Well
So yes, setting up our office didn’t go quite according to plan. But hey, at least we’ve got a few great stories (and some valuable lessons) out of it! After a few rounds of moving, unpacking, repacking, and buying new furniture, everything is finally (almost) in place.
And that’s what we stand for at GETTA®: making the best of things, even if they don’t quite go as planned.
GETTA® Greeting,
Diny en Anita
